Abstract
Innovative and Sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) helps companies be accountable to society and the environment regarding social matters, especially the potential impact of their activities, standardizing actions, and reducing social risks and crises. In fact, innovative CSR is a transcendent approach to business that innovatively considers the social impact of an organization’s actions on society. Therefore, the aim of the present research was to design an innovative and sustainable CSR model for the copper industry in relation to the local community using a meta-synthesis approach. The research method was qualitative, and the data collection method was meta-synthesis. The statistical population of the research was all studies conducted between 2010 and 2024. Using the meta-synthesis method, the actions taken by the copper industries in relation to stakeholders were identified in the form of 83 indicators (codes) and 29 categories. Finally, these categories were classified into five main dimensions including employees, customers, environment, local community, and stakeholders and other stakeholders. The results of this study indicate that all these five dimensions, as main dimensions or constructs, have been maintained in the final research model and also all the extracted categories have remained in the final research structure. It is worth noting that the largest number of categories was identified in the local community dimension. Copper industries are required to adhere to the principles of innovative and sustainable social responsibility in order to maintain organizational legitimacy and promote their positive image in society and among citizens. Therefore, understanding the dimensions and components affecting innovative and sustainable social responsibility is of great importance for these companies. The specific nature of the research methodology and the use of a qualitative approach and a meta-synthesis strategy enabled researchers to examine this issue by adopting a holistic approach. In this way, innovative and sustainable corporate social responsibility measures in copper industries were comprehensively identified and categorized in relation to the company's internal and external stakeholders. Finally, these results can be used as a comprehensive guide for copper industries and other similar industries in developing innovative and sustainable corporate social responsibility programs for internal and external stakeholders.
